As a contributor to Worth Magazine she writes about female founders, finance and investing in women.

As a producer, Laura has developed content and booked more than 200 women speakers and panelists, all experts in their field, for events and series including The Riveter Stories, The MomFair, SoCal Wellness Annual Summit, and the United State of Women Summit.

Throughout her career, Laura has advised start-ups and entrepreneurs on business growth strategies. An advocate for female founders, she launched FOUNDED, a curated community for female founders focused on strategic introductions, to help founders grow and scale their businesses. She is also the host and producer of the Venture F Podcast, delving into conversations with founders, funders and financial experts discovering solutions for creating greater opportunity, gender equity and wealth for women.

Prior to this Laura launched MomAngeles, sharing life and motherhood in the city of Los Angeles with thousands of readers. For more than a decade hers was a go-to source for what to do and where to go in LA, working with brands in the parenting and women's health & wellness space. She became part of an influential group of women who, like her, loved being a mother and loved being an entrepreneur. She became part of a vast inner circle of fascinating women, and made friends with women she would never have met without her blog. This was a formative time in her career that she credits with a deeper appreciation for the ability of women to innovate, launching businesses that solve challenges women and moms deal with every day.

Rona Nix is a writer, producer and director with 15+ years in TV & film, who found her way to production through her first love, acting. Wanting to experience the full human experience, acting provided her the place to explore and develop characters. An early audition for a TV pilot landed her a first professional production role - as a set PA. She wasn’t offered the part she auditioned for but the Line Producer asked her to be an assistant, explaining it would give her a broader learning opportunity to see how all aspects of production worked.

She participated as a writer, producer, and actor in short films (48 Hour Film Festival) where she discovered that her talents went beyond being in front of the camera. Projects she has helped produce include commercials for GA Lottery, the PGA Tour, Lowe’s, The Weather Channel; corporate videos for Coca-Cola, US Army, Delta Airlines, IHG Hotels & Resorts; and new media programs for Disney Interactive. She has worked in television for FOX, CBS, ABC and on films for Academy Award nominees Alcon Entertainment, Code Black Entertainment, and Relativity Media.

Recognizing her own interest in developing stories, Rona first created and wrote the pilot for the TV series MomAngeles based on her sister’s experiences in the world of blogging and entrepreneurialism in the parenting space. As a writer and editor she has contributed to lifestyle publications (The Piedmont Review, Malibu Magazine) interviewing both regional and internationally renowned artists (Pulitzer Prize winning poet, C.K. Williams). As an avid photographer she has had the opportunity to show her own work (Road Trip group show, The Light Room Gallery) while continuing to capture day-in-the-life moments.

Having realized that acting was a generous path that taught her more about her own life and connections, Rona has stepped behind the camera full time producing and directing. Current series she is developing are Venture F focusing on women, finance, funding, and the future and JourneyWomen building a bridge for women in the skilled trades, one season at a time.
